Laughter Yoga (LY) is a dynamic and holistic practice involving movement, deep breathing, visualization and meditation techniques that work synergistically to enhance body, mind and spirit – one’s total well being. LY uses a perfect blend of playful, empowering and “tension-releasing” simple laughter exercises, interspersed with gentle breathing and stretching exercises, rhythmic clapping and chanting of Ho Ho Ha Ha Ha in unison. This is done as a way to improve health and increase well-being, and promote peace in the world through personal transformation. In LY you use laughter as a tool, not an emotion. These exercises last 20-30 minutes and are adapted to suit the needs, abilities and motivations of the group participating.Just bring your body to a Laughter Yoga session, and it knows what to do. Join us, and let laughter do you good.
Because Laughter Yoga does not rely on the mind at all, LY helps you to easily distance yourself from your fears, sadness, worries, self-defined limitations, etc. As a result you do not need to be happy, have a sense of humor, or even have a reason to laugh.

Patty Darcy is a professional educator, advocate and speaker possessing over thirty one years experience as a family caregiver. As such she knows deep in her bones the utmost importance of keeping one’s own health, mental outlook and spirits lifted so as to serve the ongoing needs of another. The playful practice of Laughter Yoga (LY) fills her cup, just as it does for so many others in over 60 countries around the world.
In addition to being a certified LY teacher and leader, Patty has been honored with distinction as “Laughter Ambassador” by Dr. Madan Kataria, founder of the Laughter Yoga movement. In her special programs and retreats, Patty also brings to the table her experience in the following areas to create a truly dynamic de-stressing, relaxing and uplifting experience for participants.
